[Also in Division C7] Aluminium electrodes for electrolytic capacitors are contacted with an aqueous solution comprising either (I) at least 0À2% by volume of 97% by weight of orthophosphoric acid or (2) at least 1À5% by weight of citric or tartaric acid prior to anodizing. In an example the treated aluminium fort is wound with a glass tissue separator impregnated with manganese nitrate.
