Abstract
472,014. Tube scrapers. CLARKE, CHAPMAN, & CO., Ltd., WOODESON, W. A., and KUHLMANN, A. Nov. 9, 1936, No. 30481. [Class 99 (ii)] [Also in Group XII] Smoke-tube baffles consist of a short helical member 2 from which extends a rod 4 centrally arranged within the tube 1 and terminating at the smoke box end in bent portions 6, 7, 8 adapted to engage with the tube end and smoke box door to prevent longitudinal movement of the baffle and to prevent the member 2 being blown into the smoke box during cleaning operations. The member 2 also terminates in a tray or scraper 9 for collecting and removing soot. Specification 390,347 is referred to.
