Abstract

471,658. Bending tubes &c. BANNING AKT.-GES., J., and KNIPP, G. Feb. 15, 1937, No. 4453. Convention date, Feb. 20, 1936. [Class 83 (iv)] In a device for bending tubes &c. rotation of the former is prevented until the tube is clamped. Rotation of a wheel 6 pulls a link 10 to actuate a clamp 2 retained in position by a detent 12 and co-operating with a former 1. On further rotation of the wheel an adjustable cam 13 frees the detent 12 and the former and clamp rotate to effect bending. The clamp is secured to the former by a bar 3. In a modification the former is freely mounted and is rotated by a projection on the clamp.
