355,476. Lens mounts. GIBBONS, A. O., 100, Norroy Road, Putney, and PILGRIM, P., 14, Fernside Road, Balham, both in London. July 31, 1930, No. 23081. [Class 97 (i).] A lens mount for optical-projection apparatus enabling the image to be varied in size while remaining in focus in a fixed plane comprises two lens carriers e, f slidably mounted within coaxial tubes a, b. The outer tube a which is fixed is provided with longitudinal slots b and the inner tube c is provided with helical slots d. Pins &c. g on the lens carriers pass through the slots in both tubes. The tube c carries at one end a collar h provided with a lever i by which the tube can be rotated, stops l being provided to limit the angle of rotation. The rotation of the tube c causes the lens carriers to be displaced along the axis of the tubes, the arrangement of the slots d being such that the lens carriers will always be moved simultaneously either towards or away from a fixed imaginary plane between them, but will not at any time be moved simultaneously in the same direction.
