[Class 98 (i)] In radiographing apparatus, the R÷ntgen tube-carrier and the film or plate carrier move in opposite directions on guides parallel with the plane of the body section, and the tubecarrier is connected to the plate-carrier by a telescopic link, the ray passing through any given part of the body section always impinging on the plate at the same point, and the main ray from the tube always passing through the same point on the body section. A secondary ray screen housing 4 mounted on rollers 3, 31 which run in grooves 2, 21 also contains the film or plate 6. The R÷ntgen tube housing 10 is mounted on rollers 9, 91 which run in grooves 8, 8<1>, and contains the tube 4 rotatably mounted therein. The R÷ntgen tube 11 is rigidly connected to a lever 22 which is connected to a telescopic link 16 through a pivoted link 23. Levers 12, 13 fixed to the housing 4 and tube housing 10 respectively are jointed to the link 16 which slides in a sleeve 17. The sleeve 17 is rotatable about a shaft 18 fixed to an adjustable slide 19 the height of which determines the section to be radiographed. The movable system is moved from one end position to the other, the current being switched on and off by means of contacts operated at the end positions.
