Abstract

A silicate cement consists of a solution of an alkali silicate in which the Na2O : SiO2 ratio is between 1 : 2 and 1 : 3,25, and an inert aggregate together with a setting-agent consisting of an alkali silico fluoride mixed or not with an acid fluoride, in amount more than sufficient to neutralize the alkali in the silicate.
