Abstract

470,834. Pressed metal boats. MICHE DE MALLERAY, A. G. L. G. M. Nov. 15, 1935, Nos. 31707 and 31708. Void. Convention dates, Nov. 17, 1934 and March 13, 1935. [Class 113 (ii)] Pressed metal boats are manufactured in sections 4, 4<1>-6, 6<1> which are formed with hook joints or are welded along their abutting longitudinal and transverse edges. The boats are strengthened along the gunwales by doubling over the free edges. The body is stiffened by corrugating the bottom longitudinally and by the provision of welded-in transverse ribs. The sides are held apart by welded-in hollow transverse members 10, 11 of triangular cross-section which may serve as seats or back-rests. Air-tight compartments 15 may be provided at the bow and stern.
