[Class 139] A clock mechanism comprises the combination with a pendulum 14, Fig. 1 (not shown), which controls a rocking driving member 21 in the mechanism, of a self-starting A.C. synchronous motor 57 and a lever 60, carrying two oppositely pivoted serrated pallets 62, which is driven by the motor to be intermittently moved into and out of the path of an element 56 on or secured to the pendulum when the latter closely approaches one end of its swing and which part 60, 62 is such as to effect correction by mechanical contact with the spring arm 56 attached to the pendulum. The present apparatus described and shown is the same as that described and shown with reference to Figs. 1-10 of Specification 470,562, but the claims differ. The Provisional Specification refers to Specification 370,956.
