Abstract
920,467. Clocks. H. STEIGER. April 7, 1961 [Dec. 1, 1960], No. 12695/61. Class 139. An escapement in which the oscillator comprises two separately oscillating elements mechanically coupled together. The oscillator comprises a vibrating wire or blade element 10, Fig. 1, fixed at 11 to the frame and connected by a resilient e.g. rubber member 14 to a second vibrating element 12 the end 13 of which co-operates with the teeth of the escape wheel 6 driven for example by a main spring 2. The two vibrating elements may be formed from a single member shaped as shown in Fig. 2.
