Class 139 An escapement mechanism comprises an oscillating rod 10, Fig. 1, having one end inserted in a support 8. and the other end free, an oscillatable rocker member 7 earried by said support and having a pin 6 which co-operates mechanically or magnetically with pins 2 and 3 forming the teeth of the escape wheel 1. In a modification. Fig. 3 (not shown), the rocker member is V-shaped and has a pin 6 on each limb. In another example, Fig. 2, the oscillating rod 10 is fixed at one end to a support 12, 13 and has at its free end a pin which co-operates magnetically with a pin 15 on the rocker member 7 which carries a pin 6 which co-operates mechanically or magnetically with the pins 2, 3 forming the teeth of the escape wheel 1.
