469,521. Electric heating applied to vehicle radiators. GREGORY, F. H., and FOSTER, S. Aug. 19, 1936, No. 22804. [Class 39 (iii)] A device to be attached to a vehicle radiatormuff 12, Fig. 3, to maintain the radiator warm comprises a pad 6 containing an electric heating resistance 5 adapted for connection to a mains supply, the pad being secured by press-stud fasteners 11 to the border of the muff. The pad consists of a sheet of thin woollen fabric 7 next the radiator, a filling of loose cotton wadding, flock, &c., around the resistance, which may be of nickel chrome wire covered with beads to render the pad flexible, a sheet 8 of asbestos felt or other insulating- material, and a front covering sheet of leather, canvas, &c.
