A shield for preventing a heating installation from soiling adjacent wall and ceiling surfaces comprises a sheet 1, which may have a bright reflective undersurface, mounted over, e.g. a radiator 2, by spring clips 3, 4, 5 so that the rear edge 7 of the sheet is resiliently biased against the adjacent wall. Preferably the edge 7 is turned upwardly- and faced with resilient material 8 and the front edge is turned downwardly.
