The Specification contains the same description in the Complete Specification of 871,371 but the claims relate to an electric hot plate unit comprising an imperforate body plate provided with an electric heating element and having at its periphery a downwardly and outwardly extending skirt which is formed as a structurally separate sheet metal part secured to the body plate in such a manner as to provide a sealed junction therewith.
