Abstract

468,809. Television. RADIOAKT.- GES. D. S. LOEWE. May 18, 1936, No. 14021. Convention date, May 18, 1935. [Classes 40 (iii) and 40 (v)] The synchronizing signals in a transmitter of positive films are produced by a margin of increased brilliance and an amplitude filter 27, connected to the output of the photo-electric amplifier 26, passes only the synchronizing signals, which are used to reduce the aerial current to zero irrespective of the amount by which their potential exceeds the threshold value of the filter. The transmitting-valve 16 is modulated at two grids, of which the first 17 modulates by the image signals and the second 20 reduces the current to zero during the synchronizing signals, and the effect of the latter overcomes any effect of the former. According to modifications, the signals passing the amplitude filter are amplified separately and applied to the lead 4, carrying the output from the amplifier 26, and the amplified synchronizing signals so predominate that they always reduce the aerial current to zero, Fig. 1b (not shown) ; the signals passing the amplitude filter are returned to a special controlling-grid in the last valve 14 of the amplifier 26 to produce a peak of emission, which exceeds the image signals and is sufficient to reduce the aerial current to zero.
