[Class 66] A saucepan &c. lid is provided with a perforated or gauze strainer d occupying the full area of the lower flange portion, and has a segment or quadrant b of the upper part hingedly connected at c. The strainer may be fixed in place or may, as in the construction shown, be mounted in a ring e fitted detachably into the flange, the strainer in this constriction being disposed beneath a spider g. Means may be provided for holding the lid and strainer in position on the pan.
