[Classes 110 (iii) and 122 (v)] A diaphragm packing for an elastic fluid turbine having wheels 11 formed integrally with the shaft, comprises a segmental ring 17 formed with deep radial grooves 24, 25 to define ring portions 20, 21 which are bent axially into engagement with shoulders 22, 23 on the wheels to retain the ring in position.
