Abstract
466,400. Reversing - gearing - VOITH, W., VOITH, H., and VOITH, H., (trading as VOITH, J. M., [Firm of]). Oct. 13, 1936, No. 27817. Convention date, Nov. 23, 1935. [Class 80 (ii)] A dog clutch member A for a reversing gear is actuated by a fluid pressure motor F<1>, F<2> through a lever C pivoted at C<1> and is adapted to be locked in each of its end positions by a retaining device comprising a second lever D mounted on a fixed pivot dl, and having latches d<2>, d<3> which engage with lugs c<2>, c3 respectively on the lever C. A spring connection e<1> is provided between the levers C and D which has to be compressed to release the lug d<2> or d<3> whichever is in engagement. This operation is effected by a second fluid-pressure motor G<1>, G<2> which is supplied with pressure fluid from lines h<1>, h<2>. The pistons G<1>, G2 after a certain part of their stroke to unlock the lever C open ports h<4>, h<5> to supply pressure fluid to the pistons Fl, F2 to effect the change-over of the clutch member A, which is then locked in its new position.
