Abstract

386,837. Reversing-clutches. ORENSTEIN & KOPPEL AKT.-GES., 23, Tempelhofer Ufer, Berlin. April 15, 1932, No. 10817. Convention date, April 27, 1931. [Class 80 (ii).] In reversing mechanism for road rollers of the kind comprising an arrangement of alternately engageable friction clutches, an actuating- lever b has in one end a spring-pressed roller d which engages a cam surface k on a second lever f pivoted at e and coupled to the reversing-clutch g, h, the contour of the cam being such that as the levers turn from the neutral position III, the roller d does not move radially and its spring maintains the same degree of compression. At each point of contact of the roller d, the normal to the cam surface k passes through the pivot a of the lever b which is thus free from torque.
