Abstract
466,295. Folding seats. TAN-SAD CHAIR CO. (1931), Ltd., and GABB, A. H. Jan. 22, 1936, No. 1982. [Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (v)] In a chair of the kind comprising a folding trestle structure a, b having the seat pivoted to the front members b, the frame d carrying the seat c is adapted to be raised into an out of use position without folding the trestle a, b, and is provided with hooks or other means engaging co-operating means on the rear members a to retain the seat in the position of use. The trestle members are held in the open position by the abutment of the upper ends a<2> of the members a against the members b. The seat frame d is pivoted to the members b at b<2>, and its rear ends are turned inwardly at d<1> and engage hook members e secured to the inner sides of the members a. Spring clips b<3> may be provided to retain the seat in the tipped up position. Specification 311,932, [Class 52 (ii)], is referred to.
