426,847. Commodes &c. PAYNE, L. W. G., and CARTERS (J. & A.), Ltd., 2, New Cavendish Street, London. May 9, 1934, No. 14060. [Class 26] [See also Group XIV] A commode or other box seat comprises a box containing a pan or other articles, two front and two rear-legs pivoted to the sides of the box and a link pivotally connecting the two legs on each side of the box so that the legs may be folded in the manner of a parallel linkwork. In the commode illustrated, the box 1 contains a pan 20 shaped at 21 to receive a lid 22, and is provided with an apertured and removable seat 13 resting on members 12, and with a hinged lid 14 which may be folded against the rear-legs 4 to serve as a back-rest. The links take the form of arm-rests 9 and a break-joint stay 16 is pivoted to each pair of front and rear legs. The box also contains positioning and like stops 25, 26 and a toilet-roll 27.
