465,831. High - vacuum ejector apparatus. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and READ, J. C. Nov. 21, 1935, No. 32335. [Class 71] A mercury pump 4, which is connected to a rectifier by a pipe 3 and exhausts at 5, communicates by a tube 12 with a closed vessel 13 at the same level, which is evacuated by a connection 14 and is independent of the rectifier. A sight glass 17 or electrical contacts 18 indicate the mercury level. Cocks 15, 16 are provided to add or remove mercury. Specifications 291,744, [Class 71], 385,376, and 440,616 are referred to.
