Abstract
380,471. High vacuum ejectors. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., Magnet House, Kingsway, London, and GALLIZIA, E., of General Electric Co., Witton, Birmingham. June 4, 1931, No. 16268. [Class 71.] A boiler for a mercury &c. vapour pump is heated by electricity supplied at low voltage from a transformer, part of one turn of the secondary winding being formed by the boiler and/or the liquid, and part by a low resistance external conductor 2, 3, 6. The strip 6 may be unclamped for the removal of the transformer core 12 and its winding ; alternatively, the core may be split for removal.
