Abstract

462,083. Roller - and - ring mills. PFEIFFER BARBAROSSAWERKE AKT.- GES., GEB. April 1, 1936, No. 9695. Convention date, April 2, 1935. [Class 59] In a mill having the fan for the separating air current mounted around the mill shaft and below the grinding track and driven independently therefrom, the separating means is arranged wholly or at least partly externally of the mill. As shown the rotary disc 1 is mounted on a driving shaft 8 around which is a sleeve 5 and driving pulley 6. A fan 3 is mounted on the sleeve 5 and is shaped to the contour of the casing 4. The fan drives air past the edge of the disc 1 and conveys the material ground between the disc and rollers 2 to a separator mounted above the rollers, the air returning to the fan by duct 11 or to discharge.
