The frame comprises vertical side plates, reinforced by angle-irons with horizontal girders j at the top to which are attached lifting ropes or chains k connected to gearing on a fixed or travelling gantry frame d. The screen is arranged in a slide-way b at the mouth of an intake-culvert c.
