Abstract

461,687. Oil stoves. IMBER, J. Aug. 26, 1935, No. 23898. [Classes 75 (i) and 126] An oil burning lamp, stove or heater having an annular wick comprises a burner cone 9 and chimney 10 mounted as a floating unit in a ring 17 which is hinged to a ring 13 carried by arms 24 on the reservoir 3, the burner cone being formed with a flared flange 21 so that as the chimney is moved to its closed position the unit will be centred by engagement with an annular shoulder 14 on the burner basket 7. In the closed position the rings 17, 13 are secured together by a spring fastening 19. The burner cone is composed of two parts 9<a>, 9<c>, having inturned lips 9<b>, 9<d>, the upper cone being extended to form an annular disc 11 having a flange 16 adapted to rest on the ring 17 and carrying clips 10<a> engaging in slots in the lower part of the chimney 10. The ring 17 carries a frame consisting of vertical members 22 connected by rings 23 and an annular disc 28 carrying lugs 20 limiting the upward displacement of the chimney unit.
