Abstract

460,859. Safety devices for firearms. MAUSER-WERKE AKT.-GES. Aug. 20. 1935, No. 23409. Convention date, July 17. Addition to 453,672. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Feb. 21, 1936.] [Class 119] Relates to firearms provided with a safety bolt 4 for the firing- pin 3 as deseribed and claimed in the parent Specification. According to the invention. a single armed spring catch 17 is pivoted at 16 on the stock 15, and a pawl 23 is pivoted at 24 on the cock 5, and these two parts co-operate with each other and with the safety bolt 4 in such a manner that when the safety bolt is set at safe the spring catch locks the cock against cocking, but does not look the cocked cock against lowering, nor cause the cocked cock to be lowered.
