485,740. Doors for resisting fluid pressure. ENAMELLED METAL PRODUCTS CORPORATION (1933), Ltd., and BURNS, W. L. Dec. 16, 1937, No. 34832. [Class 123 (i)] A manhole door 2 is provided with a bolt 1 and nut 4, the latter bearing on a cross-bar or outer plate by which the door is tightened on its seating (not shown). The nut 4 constitutes the boss of a hand wheel 5 which carries a latch pivoted at 8 so that its free end engages two faces of the squared end 3 of the bolt 1. The squared end is slotted at 9 to receive a locking cotter 10.
