Abstract

512,314. Locking nuts &c. JUNKERS FLUGZEUG-UND-MOTORENWERKE AKT.- GES. April 11, 1939, Nos. 10960 and 10961. Convention dates, April 9, 1938, and July 6, 1938. [Class 89 (i)] A nut - locking device is applied either to the bolt or nut so as to be non- rotatable but axially movable, and after adjustment of the nut and bolt is integrally united thereto as by welding, soldering or the like. As shown the locking member 6 is in the form of a sleeve which embraces the squared end 2 of the bolt and is correspondingly shaped. The nut 3 is extended at 4 to surround the sleeve 6 and after adjustment of the nut the sleeve is moved axially until its end is flush with the end of the nut whereupon the two are fixed together as by welding, soldering or like means. In modification tapered contacting surfaces are provided on the locking member and on an extension of the bolt or of the nut. Before soldering the locking member is moved to wedging position.
