Abstract

460,335. Colour photography. BOURGES, F. A. Dec. 23, 1935, No. 35534. [Class 97 (i)] A light-dividing system for obtaining a number of exposures simultaneously from the same point of view through a number of separate lenses, comprises transmitting reflectors for directing the light to the several lenses and refracting compensator plates to correct or equalize distortion caused by the refraction of the light transmitted by the reflectors. The arrangement shown for obtaining simultaneous exposures in three kinematograph cameras 3 which can be simultaneously operated by a handle 9, comprises parallel transparent reflectors 10, the first of which reflects part of the light to the first camera and transmits part to the second reflector which similarly divides the light between the second and third cameras. The third reflector 10 may be a mirror. The light reaching the second camera has been refracted by the first reflector and that reaching the third camera has undergone refraction by the first two reflectors. To compensate the distortion due to these refractions parallel transparent plates 11 are used, two of these being inserted in the light path to the first camera and one in the path to the second, so that all the rays undergo two refractions.
