Abstract

267,594. Hilger, Ltd., A., and Smith, C. F. Dec. 16, 1925. Stereoscopes for examining photographic prints of varying sizes taken with lenses of varying focal length consist of two print holders 2, 3 supported on a base 1 so that they may be moved in a horizontal plane in either of two directions at right angles to one another and also tilted so that they are inclined to the horizontal. Above the print holders are mounted two reflectors 10, 11 supported on an adjustable column 6, so arranged that the prints may be viewed in them by telescopes 17, 18 which are of the ordinary astronomical type, and which each view the reflections of the prints through two prism systems 15, 16 each comprising two right-angled prisms. One of the telescopes is adjustable for inter-ocular distance, and the print holders are rotatable about centre pivots 28 corresponding to the centre of the stereoscopic field.
