457,782. Tubes for heat-exchangers. BOSSART, O. A., and EBERHARDT, E. G., 17th Street, Racine, Wisconsin, U.S.A. June 4, 1935, No. 16207. [Class 64 (iii)] The flat tubes of automobile radiators &c. are formed with indentations 19. The indentations in the opposite sides of the tubes may be inclined as in Fig. 4, or they may cross one another as in Fig. 7. In a modification, the indentations in the opposite sides may be formed as in Fig. 8. The tubes are preferably made of sheet-metal in which the indentations are formed prior to the bending of the sheet to the form shown in Fig. 5.
