Abstract

456,625. Mechanical switches without quick action. CINCH MANUFACTURING CORPORATION, 2335, West Van Buren Street, Chicago, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Knutson, C. L.) Feb. 6, 1936, No. 3654. Convention date, Feb. 19, 1935. [Class 38 (v)] A manually-operated selector switch for radio sets &c. comprises a rotor 13 carrying two or more contacts 25 adapted to be moved, into bridging engagement with selected pairs of contacts 11 mounted on a base 10. The base 10 is fixed by rivets 14 to a plate 15 which is itself fixed to a panel, and the rotor 13 is turned by a handle 29 mounted on a common shaft 19. The shaft also carries a pointer 21 the end 22 of which engages a series of holes 23 in the plate 15 to determine the position of the switch. The contacts 25 are V-shaped each end of the V being in the form of a clip to engage a blade-like portion of a fixed contact 11. Other portions of the contacts 11 are in the form of tubular rivets and enable the contacts to be secured to the base.
