Abstract

A fertilizer is produced by mixing acid decomposition products of a crude phosphate e.g. superphosphate, mono-calcium phosphate or double superphosphate, with alkaline calcined phosphates or phosphate slags, e.g., Rhenania phosphate, Thomas slag or Wolter phosphate, in such proportions that the mixture neither liberates ammonia from ammonium salts nor volatile acids from their salts. Other fertilizer salts may be admixed with the mixtures thus obtained. Examples of such salts are ammonium or potassium chlorides or nitrates, or crude potassium salts.
