Abstract

[Class 38 (i)] The attachment of a lamp-holder to a ceiling plate, and similar connections, are effected by means of a metal braided cable the braid being clamped and bonded to the ceiling plate and to the fitting by a deformable metal washer 5 around which the strands 7 of the braid are bent. The washer is then clamped between surfaces 3, 4, of a gland which may comprise portions 1, 2 screwing together. The insulated cable 6 passes through the washer.
