[Class 20 (iii)] Warmed air from the engine surround is induced through an opening on the bonnet or scuttle 3 by the flap 4, and passes over the windscreen to free it from moisture &c. The side windows may be similarly treated by a slit 7, and air deflector 6 with air heated by a muff 9 surrounding the exhaust. Heated air may also be passed into the space between the panels of a double-panelled screen. The flap 4 may be adapted for opening' about the rear edge, to lead cool air to the engine in hot weather.
