454,035. Stoppers for bottles. BARLOW, R., 28, Kingsway, London, and LOCK, A., 7, Alexander Road, Worcester. May 4, 1935, No. 13348. [Class 125 (iii)] A closure for a bottle &c. comprises a diaphragm 4 of rubber &c. provided with a peripheral sealing ridge 5 and a holding member 6 with a locking ring 7. The member 6 is apertured at 9 to give free access to air. The bottle &c. 1 is disposed in a can 2 having an apertured end 3 through which the contents can be viewed. The diaphragm 4 is flexed by atmospheric pressure to give resilient support to the contents. Specifications 423,867and423,915 are referred to.
