Abstract
452,140. Kinematograph apparatus. COLLINGS, C. E. HILLERY-, 26, Rural Way, Mitcham, Surrey. Nov. 16, 1934, No. 33044. [Class 97 (i)] In shutters comprising two blades, for use in projection, capable of being overlapped to form a one-bladed shutter for taking, the blades A B are respectively carried on an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve b<1>, one sleeve having a straight slot and the other a helical slot b<2> and the slots being engaged by a pin on a rod c within the sleeves movable longitudinally to adjust the relative positions of the blades ; the movement of the rod may result from the performance of some essential action in adapting the apparatus for projection or taking or may be effected by separate means. As shown, the rod is formed with collars G, G<1> engaged by a wire F connected to a lever E carried on a pivot e and pulled by a spring e<2>. The insertion of a lamp housing H, Fig. 5, having pins h<1> engaging holes h<2>, h<3> in the apparatus causes, by engagement of a surface h<4> with. a trigger e<3>, movement of the lever E which sets the blades in projecting position. The shutter may be driven through a pinion on one of the sleeves, and its setting may be effected by the insertion of a film magazine, the raising or uncovering of a view-finder, &c.
