451,040. Railway switches and crossings. WILLIAMS, L. WYNN-, Haughton Bridge Works, Darlington. Feb. 6, 1935, No. 3881. [Class 104 (ii)] The stock rail 1 at switches and crossings is secured to a chair 2 on a sleeper 4 by means of a pair of pendant members 7, both of which are secured to the outer side of the rail at positions adjacent to opposite sides of the sleeper and connected to a stirrup 19 passing under the sleeper. The members 7 may consist of brackets formed with somewhat resilient cantilever portions 9 bolted to the stirrup.
