Abstract

453,692. Switches for portable railways. KOY, E., 6, Hans Sachsstrasse, Frankfort-on-Main, Germany. Feb. 20, 1936, No. 5151. [Classes 104 (i) and 104 (ii)] A switch for portable railways comprises a pressed frame fitted with switch tongues 25, 26 and having laterally disposed rail curves 22, 23 providing turnouts in opposite directions from the main line 19. An extension rail 24 curved on each side is pivoted on the frame. In the form shown in Fig. 2, two turnouts in opposite directions are provided on each side of the line, reversible extension rails 43, 44 being pivoted at either end to the frame.
