Abstract

529,961. Railway &c. switches. TAYLOR BROS. (SANDIACRE), Ltd., and TAYLOR, L. June 13, 1939, No. 17317. [Class 104 (ii)] In a railway &c. switch, the chairs 13 supporting the switch toes are mounted on a sole plate 14 provided at its ends with lugs 16 taking the lateral thrust of the chairs. The chair supporting the turnout rail 11 is spaced from its lug, and the space is filled by a wedge 17 which may be adjustably mounted on the plate 14 by pin 19 and slot.
