Electrical systems, automatic.-In a block system which includes a trap-point or derail, the track circuit is arranged to include a rigid frangible member fixed at the trap-point so as to be broken by the first wheel running back through the trap-point. Fig. 2 shows the device 15, which may consist of a cast iron arm of small section, secured to the fixed rail 11 of the trappoint, connected in series with the rail 4 and the fixed rail 11 by wires 14, 16. Connections are made in any usual manner to the device. A wheel running over the arms of the device fractures it and opens the track circuit.
