Abstract

352,031. Railway sleepers. BYRDE, E. A., Pensylva, Cecil Road, Weston-super- Mare. April 3, 1930, No. 10612. [Class 104 (ii).] The rail chair 9 rests on a rubber pad 7 with or without an intervening wooden block 8. The pad rests in a recess 5 of a saddle member 2 having flanges 3 enclosing the sides of the sleeper 1. Bolts 12 secure all the elements together and may be provided with insulating sleeves and washers. The block 8 may be replaced by a raiser plate of iron &c.
