450,849. Tables &c. with folding legs. ABBOTT, S. S., 15, High Street, Southall, Middlesex. Jan. 23, 1935, No. 2184. [Class 52 (iii)] A collapsable table or bench is provided at each end with a pair of legs e hinged to the top a at f and having struts j connected at their ends by a rail k. A longitudinal strengthening member d is provided on the under side of the top a and a pair of battens bare secured one on each side of d the edges of the battens which project below d being grooved at c and m, in each half of the table. The legs e are held in the folded position by struts which, have their connecting rails k hold in the grooves m by a turn-buttons n. When the legs are in position for use the rails k are secured in the grooves c by the turnbuttons l the struts then holding the legs rigidly in position. The struts j are connected by plywood bracing members j<1>.
