Abstract

416,605. Forms, benches, and like articles. ABBOTT, S. S., 15, High Street, Southall, Middlesex. June 9, 1933, No. 16428. [Class 52 (ii).] Relates to furniture with folding legs as described in Specifications 276 /15 and 17508 /15, [both in Class 52 (ii)]. The Figure shows the underside of a bench comprising a top a and a transverse bar b to which is hinged members c connecting it by means of angle-section pivot plates d to legs e connected by a cross-bar f. To erect the bench, the edge of the bar f is set in the groove g<2> between the edges of two bars g, g<1>. A turn button h enters a slot f<2> in the bar f and secures the legs &c. in erected position, and engages with the other edge of the bar f when the legs are in their collapsed position.
