Abstract

A composition for arc-lamp electrodes consists of powdered tungsten sintered with titanium and iron. The tungsten may range from 75 to 99 per cent of the whole; as examples mixtures are described containing 78 per cent of tungsten, 20 per cent of iron and 2 per cent of titanium; 94 per cent of tungsten, 5 per cent of titanium and 1 per cent of iron; and 2-2 1/2 per cent of titanium and 1/2 per cent of iron, the remainder being tungsten. Specification 327,464, [Class 82 (i)], is referred to.
