Abstract
450,022. Cooling-towers. MOUCHEL & PARTNERS, Ltd., L. G., and GUERITTE, A. T. J., 36, Victoria Street, Westminster. Jan. 8, 1935, No. 660. [Class 29] A cellular framework open at top and bottom is disposed in the upper part of the tower, preferably at the waist in the case of towers of hyperboloidal shape, and a draught inducing propeller g is located in each cell e, d, so that a uniform up draught is created. The propellers and their motors h are supported by members f, and these members and the radial and other walls b, c of the framework may have rounded edges and be formed in one with the shell of a tower of reinforced concrete. The framework may, however, be supported in part by stanchions from the ground.
