385,909. Utilizing wave energy. PALMIOTTO, G., 16, Via Imbriani, Bari, Italy. Aug. 26, 1932, No. 23960. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 28, 1932.] [Class 69 (i).] Means for utilizing wave energy comprises a group of chambers 1 arranged in honeycomb or grid formation so as to cover in at least one direction a distance equal to the shortest length of wave with which the group is expected to operate. The chambers are open at the bottom, and provided at the top with suction and compression valves 2, 3 leading to the manifolds 4, 5 of air engines. The chambers may be mounted on fixed or floating structures ; in the latter case, the air engines may drive propelling plant.
