[Class 113 ii)] A floating stable structure which 'is supported above water level by evenly distributed wholly submerged buoyancy bodies, and by a number of vertically arranged tubular bodies extending between the decks and such submerged bodies, is further stabilized by the provision at three points of groups of bodies each comprising a cylinder or tube vertically arranged and open at its lower end into which water is allowed to rise to about normal water level. A floating structure comprising decks 1, 2, 3, is supported by buoyant cylinders 5, 5<1> which are connected with the deck structure by vertical hollow buoyant members 4, the buoyant members being cross braced by wires 8 and provided with watertight doors 7, 15. Arranged at the corners of the structure, which is of T-form, are hollow cylinders 9, 10, 11, which are open at the bottom, but at the top are closed by devices 13, 13a, that are approximately at water level. Into the space above the water, air may be pumped so as to modify the water level within the tube. The buoyant bodies 4 are. formed with a tapering surface at their upper ends, starting approximately from water level, and similarly the open tubes 9, 10 and 11 may have tapering upper ends. In a modified construction, the buoyant bodies 4 are formed with inner and outer tubes 4<2>, 4<1>, and the space between may be filled more or less with water in order that the decrease of buoyancy may be varied.
