Abstract
449,039. Collecting and removing fly from spinning-machines, looms, &c. HAHN, H., and SAUTER, H., 14, K÷nigstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany.-(Assignees of Leuze, C. A., [Firm of] ; Owen-Teck, Wurtomberg, Germany) Jan. 17, 1935, No. 1555. Convention date, Jan. 17, 1934. [Classes 120 (iii) and 142 (ii)] A device for cleaning textile machines by collecting and removing fly therefrom comprises a revolving smooth or profiled needle 1 which is connected with its driving shaft 6 by a short flexible connection 2. The shaft 6 is mounted in an extension 7 of the casing 8 forming the handle and enclosing the driving motor 9. The fastening member 3 connected to the short flexible shaft 2 may be secured to the shaft 6 by pins 5 guided in bayonet slots 4. The needle 1 is tapered forwardly and may be smooth, grooved or provided with helical threads to facilitate the picking up of the fibres. To limit movement of the flexible shaft and avoid risk of breakage a sleeve may be fitted over the extension 7 and extend over the rear end of the needle 1.
