Convention date, Oct. 15. [Class 79 (iii)] In order to supply cooling air to a rearengine compartment in a stream-lined motor vehicle, the rear part of the roof 1 over the seating compartment is downwardly sloped as at 3<a> on each side of a central portion 3 which preserves the stream line formation. Over the engine compartment, a roof or cover 5 with horizontal louvres 8, is connected to the central ridge 3 by hinges 6 and is shaped to conform to the main stream line so that apertures 7 for the admission of air are formed between its forward edge and the depressed roof portions 3<a>. Windows 4, 9<a>, are formed in the body portion and an air-flow partition 9, enabling a rear view to be obtained through the louvres 8.
